RKP SAFETY CLAMPS EN 14420-3/DIN 2817: STAINLESS STEEL

STANDARD

LMC's RK safety clamps are manufactured in compliance with EN 14420-3 / DIN 2817, and are used to assemble EN/DIN standardized hoses. Threaded-, quick- and flange couplings with a smooth hose shank complying with EN 14420-2 / DIN 2817 are assembled with RK safety clamps.

OPERATION

For safety reasons RK safety clamps should be used for larger hose diameters. RK safety clamps have a rim on the inside, which fits over the hose shank collar when the bolts are tightened. When RK safety clamps are assembled correctly, the coupling cannot be pulled out of the hose. RK safety clamps can be tightened during assembly when needed. When a hose is withdrawn from service for any reason, the LMC-Couplings shells and couplings can be easily dismantled for reuse.

APPLICATION

Assembly of the rubber hoses used in food, pharmaceutical and transport industry applications. Aluminium RK clamps are used in many applications, whilst brass RK clamps are used in loading and unloading terminals to prevent the risk of sparking. Stainless steel RK clamps are often used in clean working environments.

WORKING PRESSURE

-0.8 bar / -12 psi to 25 bar/362 psi TEMPERATURE -20°C/-4 °F to + 65°C/149°F Hose, coupling, assembly method and seal must be chosen in relation with the desired application and temperature.
